The solid brick, architecturally designed 70’s treasure was a gift project to work with. The original home was designed with such integrity it informed and inspired the design process of this family home.
Great orientation, high-pitched ceilings and stream-lined joinery were the original design features to work with. Kestie Lane Studio brought the home up to date with custom finishes and joinery elements to accommodate a young family.
The timber joinery throughout the residence was crafted from select grade American Oak veneer – custom black stain and 3mm expressed shadow-line detail creates the narrative of the residence.
In some rooms it sits luxuriously against the plush handmade carpet or in the family room floats elegantly on the Danish white timber floor boards, giving a warm and cohesive design palette to the residence.
